The reason behind PSU stocks going up can be earnings growth, stable economics for business and interests from the investors in the markets which are taking the stocks up.
In the last six months, these 3 PSU stocks jumped by more than 50 per cent. Punjab National Bank zoomed 79.69 per cent, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited jumped 63 per cent and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited surged almost 14.88 per cent. Whereas, S&P BSE Sensex has given 15.83 per cent returns in the last 6 months.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited recently gave an Rs 88 crore dividend cheque to the Government of India. Today, the stock opened at Rs 75.10 and made a high and low of Rs 82.25 and Rs 75.10 with a previous close of Rs 74.80, respectively on BSE.
Punjab National Bank posted a 12 per cent increase in revenue for Q2FY23 and today the stock opened at Rs 51.55 and made a high and low of Rs 55.65 and 51.25, respectively with a previous close of Rs 50.80 on BSE.
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited in the SEBI disclosure said that it has appointed two government directors and today the stock opened at Rs 22.65 and made a high and low of Rs 24.85 and 22.65, respectively with a previous close of Rs 22.85 on BSE.
