1st Quarter Recap

• Clemson put together a 12-play, 75-yard drive capped by a 7-yard touchdown pass from DJ Uiagalelei to Davis Allen for a 7-0 lead as the Tigers went 3 for 3 on third downs and after a three-and-out by Miami, the Tigers marched down the field again for a 9-play, 57-yard drive ending with an 8-yard touchdown run Uiagalelei for a 14-0 advantage as the Tigers have out-gained the Hurricanes 132-3 in total yards eight minutes into the game. 

2nd Quarter Recap

• After an interception by Jacurri Brown on his third pass of the game, Uiagalelei found Luke Price for a 3-yard touchdown and a 21-0 advantage. A sack by Akheem Mesidor on third down forced the Tigers to kick a 32-yard field by B.T. Potter to extend the lead to 24-0. The Tigers outgained Miami 228-8 in total yards in the first half and had 15 first downs compared to Miami’s one.

3rd Quarter Recap

• Jacurri Brown had a 40-yard run on the Hurricanes’ first play of the second half, but the drive came up empty on 4th-and-1 at the 26. Potter missed a 59-yard field goal on the Tigers’ first drive. The Hurricanes finally got on the scoreboard with a 44-yard field goal by Andres Borregales to pull within 24-3. Brown was sacked for the third time resulting in a safety and a 26-3 lead for Clemson.

4th Quarter Recap

 Jake Garcia replaced Brown at quarterback to start the fourth and took over at the Clemson 10 when Jordan Miller returned a fumble following a sack by Akheem Mesidor. After an 8-yard run by Henry Parrish Garcia tossed a 1-yard touchdown pass to Khalil Brantley to pull Miami within 26-10 with 13:45 left. A 49-yard catch by Jake Briningstool helped set up a 3-yard touchdown run by Will Shipley and Clemson led 33-10 with 4:40 left and added a 1-yard touchdown by Kobe Pace in the closing seconds for a 40-10 margin.
